FNB never there when you need them

I have had my FNB account for going on ten years now, i received by platinum card yesterday and was told i can use it straight away. i went to fill petrol (which earns you ebucks if you swipe) but no my card was declined so i gave FNB the benefit of the doubt and came back to the office and activated my account (perhaps my stupidity) then i went to the stops to do my monthly grocery shopping (swipe and earn) and yet again DECLINED, so completely embarrassed beyond belief i managed to convince the manager of pick and pay to let me go draw cash but as usual i could not find an FNB atm so had to drive a few km's up the road to draw ewallet which charges me might i add and i need airtime in which to draw money from this 'faster' way of doing banking. and still my account is still not activated.

what i am interested in is how much i have actually lost while banking with this 'one stop shop bank'?? having to wait 3 days for my card then not being able to use it?

i am also going to take a guess here and say that i will need to go into the bank with my green ID book to sort this issue out??!!
