Miway really let me down this time

I took out cover from Miway, the sales person that I spoke to said if I would get in to an accident I would pay 10% of the damage value, so I asked for a top up as well so that when My car would get or written off I would not have to pay the 10 % but that the top up would cover the outstanding amount with MFC . He said it was fine and as far as I was concerned everything was in place. In August I wrote off my car and found out that the top up was not included, I spoke to Mariette Notnagel who handled my claim at the stage and she listened to the recording and heard that I asked for a top up, she told me she would rectify it. Today I found out the whole outstanding amount at MFC was not paid in full and Buddy Vroom told me I did not have a top up. He then sorted it out but I still have to pay my 10% on the cars market value. This is not acceptable as I was not informed that the top up does nothing and you still have to pay this 10% in if your car was written off. This is a mistake from their side not mine!!! What if I died in the crash and my mom had no idea I asked for a top up and she would have to pay the money for instance, this is unacceptable and unprofessional!!
