Unexplainable and unresponsive

A simple process of closing an account is a mission impossible but opening a bank account is as easy as 1, 2 3. I changed from ABSA to FNB due to a host of reasons. I have been trying to close my ABSA account. I was told I have to go to the branch where I opened my account, which is much too far from where i work and live. The banking hours are also impossible as i have to work from 07h00 to 16h00. Not being able to do it, I resigned myself to continuously transfer money to myaccount to cover the bank fees. Bank fees that have been really high and leaving me completely out of budget. I have called and emailed numerous times and i still not have received a reply. I am more than willing to pay my credit card instalment from my FNB account but i am not prepared to pay anymore surprisingly and unexplainable bank charges and leave me with next to nothing.
