I have had a enquired by the Claremont Branc with regards to using my Capitec account / bank card overseas, as my wife was going ton holiday and i wanted her to have a suplimentary cards with signing rights to my bank account, they arrived in Dubai on Saturday and tried swiping and she could not, she then went without cash for 24hours LUCKILY her hotel accomodation was settled before leaving SA, shen then flew to Washington DC and tried swiping at Mc Donalds and still could not swipe, thinking it was a swipe machine error i advised her when she gets to New York to try again and once again she could not get any cash.
I went to the Claremont Capitec to enquire about this, I asked those consultants numerous time in last week if she can use the bank card overseas and they then gaurenteed me she can, LONG STORY SHORT, My wife i stuck in a foreign country with NO CASH available to her, the guys at the branch did not even bother giving me options, or even allow me to have her card seen as the main member card, they just said they cant help and i basically have to sort my self out after YOU PEOPLE Effed up, a waste of time bank, i will advise anyone with a Capitec account to close it
