Money from my account, ABSA refuse refund

We were on holiday in Cape Town and went to the ATM to go and draw money, we then discovered that on the 20 December 2012 that R 3000.00 has been withdrawn from our account. On the 21 December 2012 another R 3000.00 was withdrawn from the same account. We contacted ABSA asap and notified them of the that had taken place, ABSA Department promised to sort out the problem immediately.
My bank card was never out of my site and therefore had definately taken place.
It is now middle January 2013 and still NO WORD from ABSA, I have been a loyal client for many years however it seems that when I am robbed of my money ABSA sits back and DO NOTHING. This is not acceptable. My details: EDWARD ALFRED SMIT
