We recently applied for a home loan advance at ABSA Margate, we were told the process would take 5 working days, this seemed viable as we needed the money in 5 days, so we proceeded to provide all the documents. The last of which was given to the consultant (Sheena) on 13-08-13, she said she would process the application that same day.

So we waited for 5 days until the 20-08-13, on that day phone CALLS were made to find out if the money was ready, she was unavailable and we were told she would return our calls, she did not. Late that afternoon we finally reached her and she assured us she would get on it first thing in the morning, the next day we got no response.

After 2 days of phoning and calls not being returned and then with responses like "this afternoon" and "tomorrow morning" we phoned a manager (Maggie) to please look into it. Then miraculously we receive an sms with a reference for our application, and the consultant phones to say she had resubmitted?

Where is the 1st application & sms? Checking online we see the application is in step 1 of 14 steps! Now we wait again, and for how long? We need Absa to fast track this application, and remedy their mistakes!
