Signed an offer to purchase a property on 28 October I sent off application and all necessary docs to a consultant 29 October, my deed of sale expires 12 November (14days) today is 9 November and i still have no feedback wrt the outcome of my application, I have been a client for years have all my acc's with Absa and have a clear credit record, I can't think of any reason why my application would be declined other than incompetence somewhere along the application process. This is so frustrating as the delay may mean I lose the property. Stupidly I failed to apply at the other banks, a decision I now am regretting. The consultant informs me that the credit manager has to decide, well by the time that decision gets made, it would be too late because I have 2 days to get back to the seller.. Thanks for nothing Absa, u cost me my home!
