HOW MAY WE HELP YOU? RIGHT!!!

I recently got a further loan to do improvements on my property. The registration of the further loan took much longer than expected and I needed funds to purchase materials for building work which was supposed to have started on 2 September. Because the funds would only pay out on about the 4th September, I requested a R100k temporary facility for 2 to 3 weeks from FNB premier banking. Having been a Platinum client for 10 years with a flawless credit record this should have been no problem. The bond registration lodged on the 19th and my bond attorneys agreed to furnish FNB with any confirmations required to prove that the money would be paid into my FNB personal cheque account.

Their response? I transfer my salary from my business account to my personal account and don't actually do an EFT payment, so the 'system' did not recognise my income.

As a top earner in this country, and as a loyal client for 10 years I did not expect this kind of response. FNB - How may we help you? I don't think so - FNB - How may we help ourselves is more like it. I'll go to a bank that actually appreciates my business, commitment and success.
