CAN'T GET POSITIVE FUNDS OUT OF ACCESSBOND

Took out a home loan with Std. Was forced to sign a contract half in English and half in Afrikaans as I was told it would take another month to get it in English only. Applied for and received the Access Bond facility. Was phoned by a Home Loan "specialist" consultant in 2011 who told me to take advantage of the AccesBond facility and to deposit additional amounts into the bond as I had access to it whenever I needed to. On internet banking see the amount reflecting that I have access to. In 2013 when I try to get access I get told that the facility was removed in 2011. I must re-apply. I do and get told that I no longer qualify as my full salary does not go into a Std account. Tell them I will put a portion of my salary into an account but not good enough. Lodge a complaint and wait 4 weeks for a response. Now they won't pay out the additional Access money that I have paid in. The fact that I am a Std Bank shareholder, have 4 business accounts, 2 direct investments and 3 indirect investments with them means nothing. I recommend that if you are not a Std bank client, DO NOT GET A HOME LOAN FROM STD as they change their T&C's anytime and don't try to find a solution to your problem
