I paid someone via EFT and cannot get hold of the person, who is ALSO an ABSA customer. I want my money to be reversed back into my account. Now I get this response:

Due to the stipulations of the Banking Code of Practice, we cannot do a correction without the consent of the accountholder who received the payment or when there are insufficient funds in the account.
You have to contact the third party directly to make arrangements to get your payment back.
This is to confirm that your request has been withdrawn from our side.
My question is WHY can a DEBIT ORDER be reversed but not an EFT payment??? what If I pressed a wrong button on the account number???
