INTERNET PAYMENT

I made an internet payment incorrectly to another client of Absa. I have asked Absa to reverse this transaction but to no avail. the response is an automatic one. "Please note that according to the Banking Code of Practice stipulates that we are not allowed to access an account or do a correction without the consent of the individual or company that received the payment."
I am not asking for the 3rd party's money back, I made a mistake and I want the funds reversed. If I had a debit order and the funds were paid incorrectly to a third party, this can be reversed. I am asking for the same principle to apply. This has being going on since the 02nd of October and this is the only response I get. I tried calling and was told that they do not speak to clients.

I am frustrated that a corporate who in this economy would want to save all their clients/customers, refuse to assist.

Your service is pathetic and its sad cos so many people bank and support Absa.
