We were quoted for a vehicle policy with Regent - before the commencement date and within the 30 days cancellation grace period we read through the policy and discovered many extra charges that were not told to us. We were misinformed and so we cancelled it before it ever started. We did this in writing, Proof of many faxes. They refused to cancel the policy. Many phonecalls later I demanded that i be escalated. I then dealt with lady named Smangele who promised me the policy was cancelled. A week later my account was illegally debited by Regent for a premium and extra for admin for a "new account". I phoned and faxed her again. She apologized once again promising me to reverse the funds within 2 days and email me a letter saying they wont debit me again. She just ignored me after that and did not refund me my money. A week later I escalated the call once again and after speaking to 4 people there I got hold of lady named Cherie who promised me that the problem would get sorted out within an hour - I never heard back from them. This was 5 days ago. I am now ready to take the matter further against Regent as they unlawfully debited my bank account and I am not a client.
