ABSA'a Poor Attitude Towards Small Custome

ABSA Alberton requested the Monsoon Place Body Corporate to update its FICA requirements. The body corporate acted accordingly and tyhe trustees did go and present their ID documents and proof of residence. A few weeks later ABSA returned cheques presented for payment.

The body corporate issues on average two cheques a month. One to the Ekurhuleni Metro for the municipal services and refund the trustees for expenses. It is a small and basic account. The chairperson visited Lisa, the Enterprise Banker at her office in Alberton.

Lisa requested two more docuemnts which was the rules as well as a resolution. This was send to Lisa by e-mail during the early part of last week. That was an agreement made between Lisa and Andre, the chairperson from the body corporate.

She confirmed the account will be opened and that all cheque payments will be honoured. ABSa have failed in their commitment and once again returned cheque payment on Saturday 3 August 2013.

This is totally unacceptable as well as petty from ABSA to act in such a childish manner. No reason is given and our payments are just dishonoured after the account has sufficient funds.
