I changed my account at ABSA (a long, irritating process in itself) to a cheque account (from old savings)
This was done in June - the debit orders were set to start on that account on 1 August. Did not happen (was now billed on old account because there were no funds). Consultant acted "helpful" but was unable to find information or sort anything out. now waiting for next week. Did not phone back when she said she would.
this is added to the inconvenience of all my beneficiaries being removed from internet banking when I essentially added an account.
