I went to the branch on 15 June 2013, I was offered to be upgraded to Platinum value bundle, I was happy everything was fine, and part of the package was to switch my debit orders to my new cheque account.

July 15, I was expecting that all my debit order will go through my new cheque account, but I was lying. When I called the platinum line I was told that nothing showed that there was any debit orders linked to my cheque account, I was then adviced to transfer funds to my savings so as to cater for the debit orders.

The lady that I spoke to asked me which Branch is the nearest where she can assign me a platinum banker to arrange an appointment to do debit order switch... Its been almost a week now with no call from the Platinum banker...

I'm not sure, I have been with Absa for almost 6 years now, I think it was better when I had a savings account then now, I thought they cared especially for the Platinum customers, I guess I was wrong.
