Started out with me considering swopping my entire banking portfolio to FNB.
Went through everything telephonically and decided to go in Saturday morning to a branch.
Left the bank with my cheque card on the 6th May 2013.
Credit and garage card to be hand delivered in following week received a call end of May
requesting documentation. Forwarded this on heard nothing for almost a week.
Received another call end of June for same documentation again mailed to agent directly
so he could forward it to relevant department He acknowledged receipt and I again waited.
End of June received another call asking me for same documentation again forwarded on
Mid June received yet another call from the fnb call center for documentation at this
point I told them to cancel everything.
End of July i look at my account online and listed is a fnb credit card
and garage card listed along with my 2 odd year old discovery credit card. Seeing this I request that they cancel my "FNB credit card and Garage Card". This resulted in them cancelling my main discovery credit card as well as the cards I requested cancelling. Leaving me without my main credit card at month end. Just wanted to warn people.
