UTTERLY DISGUSTED IN THE BAD SERVICE

On the 4th of July 2013 I put in a claim at Markhams for my blackberry that was. And a week and a half later i was told my claim was declined due to poor safe keeping. What rubbish is this? Why are we paying insurance if claims are being declined left right and centre. When I took out insurance I was under the impression that as long as i made my monthly payments diligently, that in case something happens to my phone that I would be covered, now I am being told that my claims are being declined. I then contacted Markhams again to inform them what had happened and was told again that my claim has been declined to me being negligent. My Phone was at work, while it was in a charger. Someone needs to please explain to me how I was being negligent. I have also contacted the Ombudsman as I am very unhappy not only about the service that I have received but also the lack of professionalism.
