I had visitors in my house, accommodating them for safety so that they leave in the morning when they can get transport. That night I had few drinks and I went to bed after I arranged for them to sleep in the living room. I went to my room and slept with my phones in my pockets. The visitors gained unauthorised access to my room and my phones, by the time I woke up they were gone with my phones. MTN Insurance assessor claimed that I was negligent and did not take precautions to ensure my phone are in the safe place, he also claims I had visitors in my house and should have hidden my phones. I asked where is the safer place apart from my room where I have absolute privacy and no one can enter without my permission, he said I was negligent and declined my claim. He never explained what is the safe place in my house and what precautions meet their requirements.
MTN Insurance unfairly declined my claim and failed to explain their safety requirements. I insured my phone for, loss and damage. I never allowed any one to enter my room to my phone. They declined and at the end said they cant talk anymore I should go to Ombudsman if I have complains. I am so devastated.
