Loan / Credit Card not approved after 3 days

I applied for a loan and credit card on 16/07/2013. All the documents was perfect, contracts signed, etc... Gideon phoned me in the afternoon stating that they still have to verify more fingerprints and that I need to come in again. Which I did. On the 17th I phoned after not receiving any feedback, I was told the application is at Head Office. I phone Head Office and was told it's still with the branch. I phoned the branch again and was told that the fingerprints for the credit card could not be done after being confirmed the 2nd time that everything is fine. Today, 18/07/2013, I still have had no feedback as to what is going on. I suppose I would have to phone the branch again to ask what's happening. The manager at the branch told me that they are waiting for forensics to clear the fingerprints. I don't understand what is taking so long and why has nobody absolutely nobody contacted me to tell me what's going on. I was told by the Manager that the application would probably be rejected, because of the fingerprints, (which is african bank's fault), and that I would probably have to apply again. I mean... Really??? Are you serious about this???
