I applied for a loan on 16 July 2013. All documents were signed. The only outstanding items were my bank statements which were delivered early the next morning. Later that day the branch contacted me and informed that I needed to have my fingerprints taken, which I did. The branch contacted me again on thursday morning and informed me that the loan has been approved but there was a problem with my fingerprints, it apparently did not match with home affairs. However I was informed that it is an internal error and will be sorted out later that day. I contacted the call centre later in the day and they informed me that the application is still being assessed. The call centre and the branch had 2 different stories as to the problem. I received no further feedbank until today when I contacted them and was told my payslip had to be resent as it was apparently unclear. African Bank has the worst processes and I find their service to be pathetic. I will defnitely not recommend their services to anyone hence the reason for cancelling the loan instead of asking them to resend the payslip as there will probably be just more lame excuses for pathetic service.
