Tired of all the hidden costs

I went to the branch on Saturday to open a new investment account and close the existing one. The closing of the account could only be done in the branch as far as I was told. I was under the impression that you couldn't open the account without the minimum balance in it so I moved the money into the account. This simple click of a button cost me R40. I do not appreciate the fact that no one informed me of the cost to be incurred and if I had known I would've done it myself over the internet. I have also had problems with the hidden costs on a credit card due to a setting that I was not even aware of.

FNB is happy to get the whole country to sign up with their bank but then they don't look after their existing customers. I have been with FNB for 15 years and this is the first time that I have experienced this much trouble with them. It really is disappointing.
