I have just left for an exciting European adventure and decided to use Standard Bank's Euro Travel Wallet as it was what I wanted to use for all my in-store/day-to-day purchases as you get "12 free swipes" per day... allegedly. I arrived in Germany after travelling for 30 hours and was obviously tired and keen to get to my final destination, a 5 hour train ride away, but my card wasn't accepted at the ticket machine which clearly had the mastercard sign (so drew money on my credit card). I then had to purchase another ticket at another station, where once again my card wasn't accepted. It doesn't even go to 'enter password' it just refuses the card! I've since tried the card at both a supermarket and restaurant (both of which displayed the mastercard sign) and same thing! I've now tried to book a flight on ryanair but it also won't accept the card as either a mastercard, mastercard prepaid, or mastercard debit but that might be because it asks for a billing country for a euro travel wallet and even though I've tried both the UK & RSA, I still can't book a ticket and no info was given to me! Basically the card is useless and now I'm spending a fortune trying to call SA. DISSAPOINT
