I am extremely unhappy about the process that one has to go through to get one's Mastercard activated and/or getting Securecode activated in order to use card online.

When initially activating the card it took me a process of 3 weeks in getting the card activated, getting the activation code from the bank (6 trips back and forth into the bank), waiting 24 hours each time to be activated and then having to register for securecode.

Have only used the card online once (a year ago) and have subsequently forgotten the securecode.

But now to get another securecode sorted, one has to seemingly go through the same ordeal again.

When phoning Capitec I was sent back and forth and told that they dont have contact number for Mastercard to see if I can perhaps reset the password with them.

My question is how does Capitec use a product (like Mastercard) yet they dont have the contact details for said institution.

Also why can the process not be simplified that one doesnt have to spend hours and money driving back and forth to get one sms sent to a phone?

Otherwise my only alternative is to find a banking institution with a much simpler process.
