It seems like I am the first person in the history of mankind to try and do an EFT payment to a Standard Bank student load from another bank.

Firstly, when you get to the student loan web page, it shows the number 0860 123 456. When you call it, it doesn't exist anymore. When you call 0860 123 000, they can't help you with student loans, and direct you to unsecured lending call center. When you call that number, options 1-4 are for risk, valuation, card, etc. and not student loans. Option 5 is customer assist. When you select that option, the person tells you that you should have selected any of options 1-4 because she can't help you. She then just transfers you back to the menu.??

Eventually when I reached a human, I explained that I'm trying to do a payment into a student load, but did not know what type of account to use. Only savings, cheque, transmission and the other 'regular' account types are available. She did not have a clue. I was put on hold while 'she asked someone'. Then she said I must speak to internet banking, put me through, and then I was just cut off.

HOW DO YOU PAY STUDENT LOAN PAYMENTS ONLINE FROM OTHER BANKS? CALL ME WITH THE ANSWER SO I CAN PAY.
