I have a student loan from FNB for the last couple of years. Recently, a much larger amount than usual was deducted from my account toward payment of the loan. After no less than three queries on the internet banking website, a Premier banking representative contacted me to explain that this is because I'm no longer registered as a student and I have to pay back the loan and not only the interest. After I have explained that I'm indeed still a student, and that I have forwarded my proof of registration to the student loan department (I also forwarded my correspondence with one of the representatives there), the matter was again dropped. A different person contacted me after that, re-requesting all the information I have given to the previous person. I was assured that the issue will be addressed. A THIRD person contacted me, to assure me that the matter is being addressed, and that I'll receive feedback within the week.
Now, a week after he promised to contact me, I'm still waiting for a response. Furthermore, this month's deduction is completely different from my initial payments and the large payment of last month. This is not what I've come to expect from this bank.
