ABSA is incompetent

According to me my loan was paid in full two years ago, had no debit order deductions for two years. In the beginning of this year i received a sms saying my debit order is due that month, contacted ABSA and they said they would investigate after waiting for quite some time i received an email stating that i'm still in arrears according to them. I replied and asked them why in two years time i haven't received any statements or notifications that there is still an outstanding balance.up until today no reply was received, i did however got a call from ABSA today (collections department) stating that i am in arrears. how is this possible? ABSA don't follow up on queries, i call that bad service.
