I got a call from Rendani Manenzhe this morning saying that my ABSA VAF account is in arrears. i have a debit order arrangement with ABSA on this account and haven't defaulted on that-the debit order is there to ensure ABSA gets the installment on time. i find it UNACCEPTABLE that my account was handed to Collections because as Rendani put it, there was a system error and the debit didnt go through. not only do i not appreciate having such an irritating call on a MONDAY morning because ABSA failed to keep their systems running, but i also do not appreciate having my account handed over for ABSA's error. if your systems act up, you debit on a different date instead of messing up my credit profile. now in sorting your boo-boo, you send an SMS stating that you had system problems and therefore debits didnt go through, provide customers with alternative debit date to remedy your problem and debit the account instead of having me take the rap for your stupid systems.
