I recently lost my cell phone and know that I have been paying for insurance on both my phone and my wifes' phone. I called MTN and they told me that my insurance is undertaken by Call Sure. MTN gave me their number and I contacted them immediately. I spoke to Jonathan Joel from Call Sure and asked if he would assist me in submitting a claim for my lost phone. He took my details and informed me that I was insured for a Nokia N8 and a Nokia N97. This is where the problem comes in... I sold both those phones years ago, and have since upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S3. I have now been told that I have no cover because I didn't inform them of the upgrade. Sure, I agree that I should have contacted them about the upgrade, but I have never, since the conception of the insurance contract, received any correspondence from them in any way shape or form, to remind me of such important matters. I have never received an invoice, receipt or statement from them, for the premiums I have paying all these years. Is that even legal? They simply hide behind their "CONTRACT" and pass the buck while slowly milking their clients. People BEWARE!!! You could be next!!
