I need help urgently.
My brother was driving my car on the 16th of June 2013 and was involved in an accident. My car is insured by My Way.
I reported the accident to My Way. They then required all the details of which I gave them. The assessor came to my house to talk to my brother as he was the driver when accident happen. I was then called by the assessor on 26 June 2013 who told me that he is briefing me with the progress. There will be two options, is either the car will be written off and I can choose to take the car back and be given 65% of the current market value less the access of R3500.00 or My Way will take the car and give me the amount of the market value less the access. He said to me, sleep on this info and decided what you would prefer. I said to him I will discuss It with my husband.
Surprisingly on 27th the assessor called to say my brother, he said he was alone in the car when the accident happen whereas he was with some women and he said he was from his friend helping to slaughter a goat whereas they slaughtered a cow.
