Sylvester Solomon gave me a quote for insurance and took all my details over the phone as well as banking details so that he won't need to phone me again if I accept the quote. He sent the quote via e-mail which states that you need to call them back to give your seal of approval on the deal. I did not phone or reply on the e-mail as I accepted another quote from a different company. The debit order went through for R300 more than they even quoted without my consent in the first place. When I phoned and complained, it wasn't an issue. They just said, sometimes the personnel take chances but they will phone me back to cancel during the day. That is just not enough. I asked the managers e-mail and sent him an e-mail too. My problem is, I had to make a phone call, I sent an e-mail to the manager, I will need to go to the bank to reverse it and I will have to put in a day's leave to do that. Who is going to repay that???
