Two weeks ago my car started to make a noise so i took the vehicle to a Bosch service centre and they found that the injectors where giving problems on the car. I have insurance through SA Warranties for engine problems and i have a top up policy as well. Bosch proceded with the claim and sent in the quote to SA Warranties only to be told they are rejecting the claim as the car was due for a service at 50 000 km and it was standing on 54 0000 km. I feel this is rediculous as my car has had all its services and was due to go in this week to have its next service. The problem with the car has got nothing to do with the service of the car as they would not have checked the injectors during my service so even if the car was serviced on exactly 50 000km the injectors would of still gone. The gone is in good condition and as i said has had all its services up till now. SA Warranties are just looking to reject to meet their targets. I do understand the policy but in this case i think they are trying to pull a fast one. I myself work in the insurance industry and know how it works. I am now going to take this to the Ombudsman after disussing this with them they will take it on.
