Funds not received but repayment taken

When I did not receive the funds I applied for from Wonga, I called and was told to email proof of this to them, which I did.

I then called the following day to confirm receipt and check on my repayment as the due date was coming up. The call centre agent assured me that the repayment would not go through as they never sent the funds, but this happened anyway. I was advised that it will now take them 72 hours to rectify this error!!!

I am extremely disappointed in the level of service received from Wonga as well as now being out of pocket. And of course, no one has actually bothered to be in touch with me about any of this - surely Wonga must have a system whereby they can put a hold on a repayment if there is a discrepancy!!! Or is that too much to expect?
