I took out a loan with Wonga in January 2014 for the amount of R700. I was told that my repayment would be a total of R904.80. I recently switch banks & listed my new bank account in my Wonga account. My employer deposited my salary into my old bank account. I called Wonga to ask them for their banking details to do the repayment. I was sent an email with an amount of R3013. I went ahead and transferred the R904.80 to Wonga, & then transferred cash to my new bank account so that my debit orders can be paid. I then saw that the Wonga debit order came off my account. Therefore, a total of R1809.60 was repaid. I called on the 28th January 2014 to ask about a refund. I was told it would take 24-48 hours to reflect in my account. 31st of Jan, I called again to be told that it would take 24-48 hours. 3 Feb, I spoke to Candy & Shamier - it would reflect in my account today or tomorrow. 5 Feb, I spoke to Ryan who said he can see it hasn't been credited & will call me back. Today, 7 Feb, I spoke to Vuyo who said that it was paid on the 29th & that I need to send my bank statement... after I've been told by 4 people it wasn't refunded???
Will NEVER recommend you guys again!
