On my account from BLOCKED card!!!

My card was lost and blocked immideatly at the lost card call center and was ashured that then card will not be able to be used again and was given a ref number and the next day when i checked my account online i noticed a day full of transactions on my account with the BLOCKED CARD!!! Why is this service even offered if a person can still use the so called blocked card and when i call to report the the call center agents sound not interested and sounds like they cannot help! Thousands have been removed from my account and itg is the banbks fault!
