NEBANK COST ME MY iPAD

On Monday the 10th of June I put my ipad on gumtree to sell for R7000. I received a SMS saying the guy was interested and asked a few questions about it. He then agreed to buy it for R7000 and asked for my bank details and his driver would come fetch it. I received a SMS from "Nedbank" Saying Kevin Johns has paid over the money ect. It looks exactly like the ones you get from the bank and also from the long computer generated number.

I didn't want to give away my iPad until I was certain the money was in my account, so I phoned Nedbanks call centre and asked to confirm that the sms and its reference number was real and they have received notice of this payment. Spoke to a "Rafael" and he said he cannot see this guys account unless I have his account number, even with the reference number. And his words were after I read him the number and sms " its pretty hard to forge that number and the sms sounds like the ones we use"

On that basis I thought it cant be fake, the driver fetched the iPad. It is now 3 days later and I sit without money and no ipad..

Thank you nedbank, as a student R7000 means pocket money for the rest of the year is now gone!!
