Savvy Account not so savvy

About 3 weeks ago I received a call from Nedbank offering me a Current account. I finally received my card on 6 June 2013, when UTI came to drop off my card. I thought this very efficient.
It is now Wednesday 12 June and I still have not been able to use this account even after personally taking my Fica Documents to the Clearwater Branch on Monday 10 June.
Every time I contact the Nedbank Help-desk they cannot assist me and nobody can give me a turn around time.
Yesterday I was transferred by a Call-centre agent and i held on for 28 minutes until I eventually hung up.
Had I known this is what Nedbank is like I would never have taken them up on their offer.
