Approximately 4weeks ago, my fiance and I came through to the Standard Bank Umhlanga Ridge Branch so that she could pick up her new gold cards. After accepting her cards I spoke to the consultant about changing my cards as well seeing that I have a "gold" account as she said. I explained to her that I would like the gold card so that I can activate the British Airways points system seeing that I spend allot on my credit card. She informed us that I do have a gold account and there is no need to change my card. When my card expires in 2017, I will automatically receive the gold cards.

A week later (4 weeks ago) I needed to make a large purchase. I called in to the card division to activate the points system and was asked first for the colour of my card, not my card number or my details. I explained the situation to the very rude person on the other side who still refused to listen to my card number or personal details. Spoke to a supervisor who advised she will get the branch to contact me. No call and it is now 5 weeks later. I called back and was promised a return call because Faye was busy on another call. Now more on email from card division saying it is no longer offered.
