So last year some time Standard Bank automatically changed me over to an Elite account. I did not have a problem with this. The account stated that it would include a Gold Cheque card as well as a Gold Credit card. Over a year later and the cards have not materialised. when i contacted Std Bank, I was told that i am still paying for a Blue card. So my question is - Why are you charging me for a Gold Account? This is false advertising as well as breach of contract.
The ffg is from their website as a perk of the Elite account
"A Gold MasterCard or Visa Cheque card 1, 3 (Chip and Pin enabled) for your day-to-day purchases, so there's no need to carry cash around.
A Gold MasterCard credit card 1, 3 (Chip and Pin enabled) with a flexible limit for worldwide purchases. Straight or budget, it's your choice."
Was this just a marketing ploy to lure new customers without being able to keep your current customers happy?
If i am on a blue card status, I expect to be charged accordingly and not be charged for a superior service that i am not receiving!!!
