I recently applied online for a Galaxy S4 smartphone through the FNB website. On their website they say they will contact you if your application is not successful. After about a week and a half I called in and asked about the status of my application to be told that it had been declined. No one called me like they say they will. Secondly I switched to FNB at the beginning of this year. I have a Gold Cheque Acc. How is it that an existing customer cant get credit but new customers can? All they want is your bank fees. I was told that my credit score had "bad debts" yet I dont. All 3 major cellphone networks were willing to give me the credit so why is that bank that you pay bank fees to wont? What is so different about their credit than other companies? Anyway, I am now getting the S4 through Cell C (who FNB use) - confusing and paying R100 more with less data than I would through FNB. If my bank wont help me (as per their slogan), I would rather pay extra to another company. They are happy to take your bank fees but not give you credit. Also staff dont know the phones they are selling - about the SIM card to me when asked about it.

I plan to switch back to my old bank!!!
