Credit Card Application

I am a Standard Bank client who after graduating from university willingly upgraded to the Standard Bank Gold card last year when I began working as I was no longer a student. When they offered me a credit card I declined it as I had no use for one at the time. However now when I need a credit card and duly complete the application I am told I now do not qualify because I do not have enough debt, fact is I have no debt and a perfectly clean credit record. I was initially told I was declined on score and after phoning in several times to the credit card department I was told there was nothing wrong with my score. I asked my mother to assist me and she spoke to her bank manager who told her that I would receive a call and they would Redo the application. 2 weeks have past and many emails and promises have past and nobody has contacted me. When I went into the branch to see if there was something I could do, I was offered a loan and nothing else. I do not want a loan. When I told them this was the case I will be forced to take my business elsewhere, they simply acknowledged this and said I should. Pathetic!
