My wifes new car had a stone chip, and she claimed for the replacement windscreen through Budget insurance.
In turn Budget sent Windscreen Direct to replace the windscreen. I arranged to get the vehicle collected and dropped at my office for the appointment. The technicians arrived and completed the change within 45 minutes.
I then checked the installation and noticed that the glass fitted was not the same make as the original removed.
I refuse to accept a non Audi approved / Audi windscreen for safety reasons. Women beware! rather get someone who is knowledgeable to assist. It is evident that unscrupulous service providers always view women as easy prey. Windscreen direct claim that Budget Insurance instructed them to fit the no name brand, as it was a women's vehicle. Needles to say no excess payment has been made by me... until the correct windscreen is fitted... women beware, i don't mean to be discriminatory but there will always be vultures out there, just take note.
