I'm trying to follow-up on a claim I lodged a day ago with ABSA's reporting number (0860100876) for a burst geyser and other damage to a house - they were very efficient.
Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the claims processing department, an initial good experience has been turned sour as the claims processing department (0860112225) apparently in Florida does not answer the telephone and worse yet if you miraculously get through then you get courteously handed over to be put on hold and listen to the same repeating tune over and over. I spent an hour and a half on hold and gave up (I tried 3 or 4 times with the worst hold being 40 minutes). The operator even will tell you he doesn't know when he puts you through if anyone will answer as he's only the operator.
ABSA you and I'll certainly be getting alternative insurance quotes for the bonded property.
