In October last year I took out a Short term Loan of R1500, I had to pay back R1800 within 30 days. FNB Debited my account twice then refunded, then debited again and refunded again as they had double deducted. Now 7 months later I recieved a call last week from their collections department saying I have not paid that account and it has been affecting my credit score. I went to FNB Fourways who were extremely helpful and it was sorted out as FNB made the mistake and that the problem will be solved in 3-4 days. Today I recieved another call saying that I have not paid and will be reported to the credit bureau, the lady I dealt with did n ot let me speak and when i shouted at her to please shut up and let me explain she rudely told me she will not speak to me and cut the call. I went to FNB Fourways again today and I have been told the issue will be sorted out by COB. I hope that this is indeed done. But I want to know how FNB is going to compensate me for the errors on their side? My Partner and I are now also looking at taking both our FNB Platinum accounts and his business acc to Standard Bank.
