My vehicle finance was supposed to be paid by debit order, as per the contract i signed. When the 1st debit order was not run on my account i contacted ABSA vehicle finance to find out what the problem was. The person i spoke to said they had corrected the error on the system and that ABSA would go and draw the funds from my cheque account. The next month, i was charged R30 for this transaction as it is an 'inter bank transfer.' So ABSA my debit order, then i am penalised in bank charges when ABSA correct THEIR error. i spent over 40min on the phone, just being redirected from one incompetent person to the next who could not help me and didn't know what department i should speak to. I have subsequently contacted the lady who helped with the finance application but after being promised that i would be refunded, nothing has happened. I have also left a message on the ABSA website but no one has contacted me. This has beein going on since the 1st of March. But hey, i got a birthday sms from someone in Sandton that i have never met, so that will probably clear everything up right...
