Hi, My Bluebean credit card was retained by the atm on the 27 March 2013 around 7p.m. There were 2 suspicious guys behind me. My card stuck a little then went in, When I started to put in my pin it was showing on screen so I stopped and pressed cancel. My card would not come out. These guys kept saying I must put in my pin then my card will come out but I just kept pressing on cancel. As soon as I could, I reported and cancelled my card around 8p.m (ref 122961675). I dont have sms notifications coming through on my phone so I only realised a few days later that a R1000 was withdrawn from my card after it was retained by the atm. I then called the dep on the 8th April and reported this (ref 5818454). I was told they will investigate. After me having to call in to get feedback, I was sent forms via email to sign and send back. Again, after me having to call in, I was told I will know the outcome of the investigation on the 30 April. I was told that I reported the card a few minutes after the money was withdrawn so they cannot reimburse me. I think banks should have some insurance for customers against, not rely on technicalities that benefit THEM and NOT THE CUSTOMERS
