Not updating credit bureau for over a yea

Good day

I would like help please with updating Transunion of a settled account for which I received a settlement letter. Transunion has a slightly different account number on my profile. My African Bank account has not been updated with them since April 2011 and now that I have settled the account, it still shows that I owe African Bank the amount I owed back in 2011. I settled this account by paying just over R16000 in December 2012 and when the update was submitted to Transunion among others, they say have no instruction to update the account from African Bank.

I have been in contact with a helpful person in ABIL consumer office, but it's been over two weeks since I've been following up on this account to no avail. Please help me by sending Transunion the instruction to close the account with the same reference number they already have. The account number on my settlement letter is 10250-1034593-01 but Transunion only has the number in between the hyphens, 1034593. Please just send them the "new" account number because it's African Bank who sent them the account number they have.

I can't pay R16, 000 to settle an account which hasn't been updated since April 2011. Please help.
