STANDARD BANK NOT GIVING PROOF OF CANCELATION

I have now been trying to get confirmation of the pending closure of my Home Loan Account from Standard Bank for the past 3-weeks! I have spoken to numerous consultants just to get a confirmation letter from Standard bank that my bond is now finally under cancellation instructions.

This is seemingly an impossible thing for the bank to do??? How is that possible? What kind of service is this? Standard Bank is yet again delaying my new home due to their systems and processes. I had to wait 90-days before I could settle the account. I did that, I settled the account and faxed the letter they wanted with proof of payment.

Now all I get is SORRY they can't do anything but give me a statement with a NIL balance, it is not their issue or problem! Nowhere on this statement does it say anything that the account is being closed. I am a customer of Standard Bank (Thank goodness soon never to bank with them again) and I am not able to get any form of confirmation that my Loan is being cancelled. I can't finalise my new bond until I have this proof and Standard just gives me the run around.

I can't believe their unwillingness to assist in this matter!
