Quick and efficient service with a smile

My husband and I were recently disappointed by Absa's loyalty to long time customers and switched to Standard Bank dreading the schlep I'd have to go through to open new accounts. We however walked into Standard Bank Tyger Valley and an hour later we had signed all the paper work. 4 working days later we received SMS notifications that our cards were ready for pick up. I was very angry when I took off work to go to Tyger Valley branch to get my card only to hear that the cards were as Tyger Manor which I could not get to in time before they closed, so we had to go on a Saturday morning. Dreading long queues and a lengthy wait to get both our debit and credit cards and register for internet banking, I was pleasantly surprised when we quickly got to Ntombi's cubicle. She immediately found our cards on the system, went to fetch it, patiently explained what accounts we could access with which cards and what papers we had to sign and answered all our questions patiently. Then someone helped us set up our internet banking. Ntombi even gave us her direct nr if we had any problems. Within half an hour we were walking out of the bank having done all we needed to and gotten SMS's to confirm
