2011, I was quoted by Iwize, declared my financial status ie. debt consolidation, no problem I got insured. 2012 we received notice for annual increase but also received a better option, retentions dept offered a better deal. Again I declared financial status. No problem. The consultant also told me that should my child, 18 have a valid learner's license and drive my car /my husbands car with our permission and have an accident, my car will be repaired at the same excess, no additional amount. So we stayed. February 2013 a road rager caused damage to my car and wanted me to repair my car through my own insurer. After registering the claim etc. I got a call and suddenly this financial status is a problem. They wanted proof of payment etc, which was given and I was told that the underwriting department will be in touch with me to discuss amended policy etc. The only call I got was from John who asked question and I answered. They told me they had a technical problem and could not retrieve the sales calls. They now pushed up premium by about 80% knowing that I will seek alternative insurance. A 3rd party is to blame for accident, recover the money and treat client with dignity.
