Insurance blocked cause i didnt click "sign out"

So this month i notice i have some money left over in my account.. i wondered why.. figured out its cause miway hadn't deducted the premium yet. this got me worried.

on the 10th i contact them to find out why (money was meant to go off on the 4th). yesterday 13th a very polite lady phones me back to inform me that my insurance is "locked" cause apparently i didn't click "sign out" of the profile when i went to go find my policy number.

i was furious. how can they stop your insurance cause you didnt click sign out? what happens if you suffer from Internet drops while you in your profile??

i also inquired... so... had i had an accident the day before etc i wouldn't be covered all because i didn't click sign out? she then said that no (laughingly) each claim is handled on a per claim basis and they wouldn't hold it against me.. but the matter boils down to.. the debit order didn't go through.. so therefore i hadn't paid.. therefore i don't have cover

yet another way for miway to shaft its loyal customers.

its apparently been "resolved" as the debit order will go off within 72 hours.. now im wondering if it will be set to go off EVERY 15th etc of the month instead of the 4th
